Amora Animal Home Health

Amora Animal Home Health offers professional, compassionate in-home veterinary nursing care that supports pets and the people who love them well beyond the clinic doors. My work is focused on bridging the gap between hospital and home—so families feel confident and supported as their pets heal and recover.

While I’m not a veterinarian and cannot diagnose or prescribe, I partner closely with your veterinary team to carry out treatment plans, provide thoughtful follow-up care, and keep your pet comfortable in the place they feel safest—home.

From administering medications and managing wound care, to fluid therapy, mobility support, or simply helping you better understand your pet’s needs, my goal is to give both you and your companion clear guidance, peace of mind, and compassionate care. Together, we create a smoother, more supported path to recovery.

Kate Smith RVT, B.S.

Kate has worked in the veterinary field for nearly 15 years, beginning as a general practice technician before moving into surgical work and ultimately discovering her true passion in emergency medicine. At every hospital she’s joined, Kate has quickly grown into leadership roles, driven by her dedication to her patients, her colleagues, and the people who love their pets.

Her greatest joy in every position has been helping to honor and strengthen the human–animal bond. Over the years, Kate noticed a gap in care between hospital discharge and a pet’s full recovery. Too often, pet parents went home feeling unsure about how to continue care once the veterinary team had guided them through the most difficult moments.

By working closely with both veterinary teams and families, Kate aims to bridge that gap—giving pet parents clear, compassionate guidance so their furry family members have the best chance at a full, happy recovery.

When she’s not caring for pets in her community, you can find Kate embracing all that Colorado has to offer: snowboarding, hiking, soaking in a hot spring or relaxing at home with her own four-legged companions—Rogue, a spirited red heeler, and Enigma, a sleek and sassy black cat who rules the roost.
